The 7th Brigade Muster will be held at Shore Leave Saturday, 10 July 2010 at 1000 hrs in the Derby Room upstairs.

March to Destiny

On Saturday June 26th the Stormeagles will be going to March to Destiny. March to Destiny is a civil war living history which includes weapons demonstrations, candle light walking tours, Victorian ball, Victorian tea, carriage rides, a variety of lectures and more that is held in Shippensburg PA. There will be Military Groups, Sutlers (stores), Civil War Music, Food Vendors and much more. Anyone interested in participating should contact James Hutley on the USS Susquehannock.

Annual Valor Awards!

To the members of the 7th Brigade, At this time, I am once again taking nomination for the 7th Brigade Valor Awards. This also includes the Youth Valor awards as well. These awards will be given out at the 7th Brigade Muster which will be held at Shore Leave this coming July. For detailed information on each award, you may find them in the SFMC Marine Manual or the SFMC website. (www.sfi-sfmc.org) The nomination phase will be from 24 March 2010 thru 01 June 2010 at midnight.

Springtime in the Park at Hersheypark

Once again this year the 7th BDE will be going to Hersheypark in Hershey PA for Springtime in the Park at Hersheypark. The date that the BDE will be going on is Saturday April 10, 2010. Update for Shore Leave 31 meeting

The Region 7 meeting will be held Saturday morning starting at 9AM in Salon A. The meeting is scheduled to run until 10AM. Part of the meeting will be the presentation of the Marine Awards for this year. There will, after the Region meeting, be a short Marine Muster in the same room running from 10AM until 10:30AM, which will deal with the 7th Brigade.

Changes to 7th BDE web site

There have been some changes made to the 7th BDE web site. Most of them are behind the scenes changes and really do not have a big impact on the site. However the biggest change that has been made is the addition of a news handling program. This program will make it far easier to manage the news and get announcements on the site. This program not only controls the news on the front page, but it also allows for a real functioning news archive. On top of that the 7th BDE now offers a RSS feed so you can subscribe to the feed and get the latest news as soon as it is posted to the site.
